Why can't a High end PC run PS4 emulated games???

I just saw a video YT video where a guy tried running RDR through emulator, It ran like REAL REAL BAD.

Why???

Why can't, well "Hackers" make a software like PS4 OS. Is that impossible or its licencing and copyright shit?

You'll have to decrypt and break down all the parts and pieces of the software, figure out a way to reverse engineer the OS to be compatible with standard hardware, and then hope you don't get sued into oblivion when you release it.

Making an Emulator is so unbelievably complicated you have no idea. You arent just trying to crack software, you are writing code that 'emulates' (pretends to be) hardware. Any computer contains specific ICs and chips that have a specific purpose to perform some kind of esoteric math or something like that. An emulator writer has to figure all of those little parts out and instead of making hardware to do it very effeciently and quickly they have to write code that will do that job instead and then force a general purpose chip (your CPU) to do it instead and you know what they say "Jack of all trades master of none".

Well , the ps4 runs an x86 chip , so theoretically , overhead should be minimal, with no real time translation required . However , the software is still in it's infancy , and some internals still need to be emulated through software ( DSP's etc ).

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

It's hard as shit, some parts of the software are classified and not openly available to reverse engineer.

Basically, It's like building PS4 OS yourself from scratch, but for totally different hardware.

The emulator itself is still in its infancy, so of course it will run like complete shit.
It also depends on who is working on it and how long.

Just look at the WiiU Emulator, it's constantly updated and can already play some games near perfection.
Same with the Wii/Gamecube one, they have people working hard on them.

The PS4 one is also semi closed source so most people can't just join in to help with the development.
