1060 3gb vs 1050 ti

Darkgun3396

I was originally gonna buy the gtx 1050 ti for 160 but I found a 1060 3 GB for 190 should I pay the extra 30 dollars for more performance but 1 GB less vram.

The 1060 3GB has a noticably bigger performance increase over the 1050ti, about 60% more performance over the 1050ti. So paying the extra $30 is definitely worth it.

Sorry for piling on. But, what kind of frame rate difference are we talking between the 1050ti and 1060 @1080p and @1440p?

Becuase I currently have a 1050Ti and wanted to upgrade to a 1070Ti mostly because i want to game at 1440P with a good frame rate (but its stretching my budget) so was considering the 1060.

on user benchmark your gonna get about 30 fps over the 1050ti I wouldn't upgrade from that to a 1060, however, a 1070ti would be a great upgrade and would significantly increase your power

How about a 1070? better built for my budget. Is the 1070 significantly better than the 1060? Because i also read somewhere that the 1060 is waaaaay better than the1050ti

yes we all know the progression thanks. what we are wondering is the value:performance increase ratio.

i tought the  # of  Bracket i put gave a clue

ahhh, thats what that is. okay. little confusing though becuase thats a greater than sign implying that the lower end cards are greater so i just figured it was random bracketing. but thanks, makes sense now.
