I've been trying to record w/ shadow play and every time i save the last 10 minutes and review the video there is no game sound and i cannot hear my friends in the background either only my microphone.

Go into Setting->Audio and make sure the system audio is at 100%

system audio is 100% but my volume mixer is turned down to 2

if i turn it up then it will be loud  that's why its turned down but that could be the reason why

My issue was that NVIDIA Container volume was all the way down in my volume mixer..... makes me feel stupid but I hope this helps out someone since I have made A LOT of research to fix this issue.
