Is it enough?

Is a CX550, first of all, a good power supply?

and secondly, is it enough power for a gigabyte gtx 1070 windforce 8GB OC, along side a Asus Prime 370 P with an i5 8400?

CX's and CXM's are newer and good power supplies. They also tend to be cheaper (at least in the US).  As for power it should be able to provide enough power for both your CPU and GPU.

Yes, it's enough, and the CPU is ok as long as it has a grey label and not a green.

I'd aim for the CXM though, usually it's on sale pretty cheap.

In Ireland, most of our accessible sales are on Amazon. There is no proper computer component shops over here. Your really only able to buy shitty overpriced pre built systems.

It is simply impossible you won't find somewhere a great deal on one of those Power Supplies and at very least you have done a good effort to have a decent enough very important piece of hardware that still can kill components in fatal failures, so do your part in avoiding that with the littlest possible research about the products and about their offerings on good times.

It is simply impossible you won't find somewhere a great deal on one of those Power Supplies and at very least you have done a good effort to have a decent enough very important piece of hardware that still can kill components in fatal failures, so do your part in avoiding that with the littlest possible research about the products and about their offerings on good times.

Yeah the last thing I want is for my pc components to die because I cheaped out on a power supply. Thats why I came to the forum to ask my question to people who have a lot more experience/ a boarder knowledge range than i do

Just personal credit. Get a credit card, a few bills and pay them on time. There might also be credit builder loans you can sign up for. Though, at 17 you'd likely need a co signer for all of the above.

and secondly, is it enough power for a gigabyte gtx 1070 windforce 8GB OC, along side a Asus Prime 370 P with an i5 8400?
