Need a new good keyboard!

Sordxyx

Have had mine for nearly 8 years (nearly half my life) its a sleek dell one nice and compact i believe its a membrane, So yeah i have no idea what counts as a good keyboard but i do like leds! Is there any good keyboards thats white with aqua leds?

Format: QWERTY UK

Price range: Around £50

Extra info: I hate macro things on the left of the keyboard i like my hand on the edge of the keyboard so when macros are there it kinda disrupts me a lot xD

The colour is a bit off, but it is a true mechanical keyboard so an upgrade from membrane if you're into that.

There's also a white variant where I think the chassis makes the LEDS look lighter. But I can't find it on the Amazon.co.uk site.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

  • Country or area (UK)
  • Budget (£50)
  • Do you need the number pad? (No)
  • What do you do mostly on the computer that heavily uses the keyboard? Gaming and internet usage
  • Will noise be an issue?   I would rather one be a bit quiet
  • Is key height an issue? My keys seem to be a bit tall this is my keyboard with a us layout ( i want a uk layout) 81BtauNkTjL._SL1500_.jpg

Yeah if you want quiet mechanical boards won't really be the way to go. They're great (and feel much nicer to type on), but are much louder than membrane.

I agree that Dell membrana keyboard is the best membrana keyboard... Not kidin... =)

But regarding mechanical keyboards, I like the one that is lighter to press (red, blue, brown switches). I am old fashion dude that does not know anything regarding the new color switches (speed, gray, etc, etc).

Regarding brands, I think that it is not relevant...Only the switches brands... IMHO, Gateron, Cherry, Outemu swtiches are the ones that I trust. =)
