Strand floatplane “add?”

First of all I would like to make it clear this is not a complaint, just something strange. So I was watching the latest LTT video on floatplane and I had to leave for a while so I left the tap in safari open. When I came back to it a little while later instead of the video there was some add for “office online for google chrome”. In the player. This struck as weird so I screen recorded it. Once I reloaded the page it was back to the normal content. Was wondering if anyone else had this happen and what might have caused it?

do you have a picture ?
this is more likely a browser add-on. as I never saw this happen...

check your extentions for something you don't know about.

I’m running the latest version of safari on my IPhone 8 Plus. I don’t have any extension that I know of.

That is different player. I would say its some sort of malware etc. thats subs default HTML5/flashplayer with ad if player is left idle for x period of time.

That is the same player that it always uses on my iPhone, witch I got a couple weeks ago so I sought it has any “malware”.

Maybe Apple want some of that juicy ad revenue. You are first I've seen to report that issue.

Lol Apple incerting adds into random video players, somehow I dought they would risk the outrage.... who knows?
