Crysis 1 with mods still look more realistic than Crysis 3 imo. 

 

Crysis 3 just walks around like 'ALL THE BLOOM, HAVE IT! HAVE IT ALL! TAKE ITTTTTTTTTTT' then explodes into a big ball of bloom.

 

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, but I like the realism more than I like shiny effects

Any post processing takes a dump on looks and gpu perf.

Since title says "best looking" and not "best graphics" i will say half life 2 along with all mods and sequels. for example lost coast. its also most realistic.

Honestly now imo it's got to the point where art direction is far more important than texture resolution and polygons. I find crysis a bit bland in that department.
