It will be used as a pc monitor. I'm just saying I don't need any smart tv stuff just a nice big panel. The dumber the better imo

Yeah I was being sarcastic, because you said it's not gonna be used as a TV :P

You will definitely NOT get OLED or more than 60Hz (proper refresh) for that price. You can however find loads of TVs being sold in the 55"+ size and with 4K HDR for between around £400-800. I'm a bit out of the loop with TVs now, I do remember there being some talk about a LOT of the panels in the TVs this year being rubbish though, something to do with them not being REAL 4k screens through some trickery to make them more cheaply.

Might be worth having a look through some respected review sites, such as AVS forums https://www.avforums.com/forums/

Hopefully someone will come along with some better knowledge of what's out there right now for people looking, I mean I can link you to TV sets within your budget, but wouldn't be able to tell you if they're any good or not, as unfortunately I don't get them for reviewing. You will typically find TVs having around 5ms input lag, but some are better and some are much worse.

You do not want OLED for something that will be used as a computer display.

There are also no 4k tvs that can do 60Hz.

Take a look at the recent samsung tvs, they have great input lag (20ms) and good image quality too.

You will be fine with a 6000-7000 series.

Then yeah, the Samsung ones are the best choice.

For 55" you will only be able to get the 6000-8000 series ones to fit your budget, which are already very good.

"MU" is the most recent model.

Just remember to rename the HDMI1 input to "PC" in order to have it work well as a monitor.

i miss dumb tvs so much, current tv has the most basic settings, and its perfect, but its 1080/old.

Enabling "PC" basically makes it very basic :)
Mine was been working perfectly as a monitor for the past 6 years.
