Ok so this is what i have so far:

Also I forgot to mention i and going for  black and red build but i am not to picky with the colors.

Any suggestion for the cpu cooler and memory?

Use the stock CPU cooler. It's fine for light overclocks.

Ideally, get some faster RAM. 2x 8GB 3000 MHz Gskill Aegis for 2x $80, or a kit of 2x 8GB Ripjaws 3200 MHz for $160.

The PSU is crap, change it.

I'm thinking of building a pc and I've never built my own so far but i need a new computer and I was told building one is allot cheaper so i'm giving it a shot.

My budget is around 1000$, and i'm going to be using my pc for a lot of video editing, and also gaming. I'm not looking to game at the highest settings, but I want to be able to play games at decent fps and graphics.

I've come up with this so far:

Thoughts?

This is cheaper and better

Don't add a cpu cooler as the stock is fine, memory is ok.

Get a different psu as VS isn't very good, and I would suggest getting an SSD.

Depends on what you want to put on there.

If you just want to put OS and some commonly used apps and files on there, 120 ish should be enough.

If you have some large apps, games, large files etc. that you want to put on your ssd, you might want 240gb with 500 potentially even being a good idea (though I don't think you have the budget for a 500 gb SSD
