Raid 0 Intel and Samsung Drives.

Hey guys,

I have a Samsung 840 256GB SSD. I am running  a bit low on space. I have about 20 GB left. I was wondering if I could Raid 0 256Gb Samsung Drive with the 240GB Intel drive.  I know that I will be limited to the lowest capacity but will I take performance hit?

Do not raid them together, I beg of you.

 

unless you have 2 identical SSDs bought at the same time, then you could raid 0. you have more risk using nonidentical drives.

 

Buy 1 larger ssd, 500gb  then use the included software to transfer everything.
