Two moniters each with speakers

Ok so I have onje LED HDTV I use ofr one moniter using HDMi via my GPU which gives audio. I also got a moniter I purchased recently with speakers that have audio in connectiosn to a sound card. My question is woudl it bep ossible to use both to imrpove my soiund having multiple speakers or no?

I'd stick with the one, delay and positioning issues would likely make it sound pretty crap using them both.
