Can I use the thunderbolt 2 ports (2) to my external monitors without using hdmi and dvi cables just only Mini dp to vga?

Yes, go into your display settings to change that

If your monitors have mini DP, you can just use a mini DP cable. You will need a cable to connect the adapter to the monitor if you go the dongle route(as in mDP/TB2 to HDMI/VGA/DVI)
