Alright guys I’ve found a steal of a deal on Craigslist! A couple is trying to sell an unopened 6850k for 200 bucks! They say it’s a product of identity theft that resulted in the thief sending said product to their address mistakenly. Said hey be tried to have Walmart take it back but they never replied. Seems a bit off, but I’m checking it out tomorrow and was wondering if there are things I should be weary of. Anyway to tell if it’s damaged, fried, etc.

There are very few ways to tell if a CPU is fried or not just by looking at it. I would say as long as the CPU is physically intact you should be fine. If it doesn't work, you can always try and get a refund
