I need some help with my memory frequency [solved]

I'm upgrading my CPU, motherboard and memory, but the parts that I have selected don't all have the same supported memory ram frequency. Is this a problem?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS

Memory: Corsair 16 GB DDR4-3000

Will I run into any problems if I combine these parts, or does the frequency not really matter?

Ryzen CPU's support up to 2667Mhz memory, anything beyond that will be up to the motherboard if it can run or not.

So yeah, it will boot up no problem at all, but overclocking the memory (which is basically what you do past that 2667Mhz mark) sometimes doesn't go up fully.

The 3000Mhz memory is just made and validated by Corsair to go up to that number, but you could realistically go beyond that.

Ryzen support 2933Mhz and after that 3066Mhz, after that 3200mhz: 2933Mhz is obviously a more realistic number for you.

Also, yes frequency matters (on Ryzen). Between gaming on 2133Mhz (DDR4 default) vs. 2933Mhz (max I can get my kit to) there is a lot less stuttering in games (on my Ryzen 7).

generally ryzen will run with 2133mhz - 3200mhz ram

no problems so far, you just might not be able to get 3000mhz but instead 2600 because ryzen is picky.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Thanks for the help, so I should be fine just putting these parts together, or do I need to change some setting in the BIOS?

if you want more chances of reaching high frequency look for kits with samsung b-die memory,
