hey there

 

i have recently done a windows reset (got rid of everything apart from personal files) and my hard drive still says its full

it should be close to empty as most of my storage was taken up by programmes

Well unless you told it to remove your personal files they are still going to be there.

I suggest opening up the settings app -> System -> Storage -> "Drive that is full". Windows will tell you what type of files are being used up the most. Clicking on each category gives you a summary of what those files are. Or you can use WinDirStat and find what files are the biggest that way.
