Crossfire Compatibility

Go to solution Solved by showerhandle,

yes it would work but i highly advise against crossfire. unless you already have 2 of the cards you are almost always better off purchasing a higher tier card of same value as the 2 lower tier cards. also crossfire isnt always supported so like its hit or miss on alot of games. But yes crossfire is super easy to set up and works with RX.

(This is a link to my parts list with the second graphics card added. I do not actually own two graphics cards, only one.)

I was wondering if it would be possible to run a crossfire setup with this configuration or would there be problems. AMD's website wasn't very clear about crossfire configurations with the RX lineup and I was wondering if anyone had any experience or knowledge on the topic.

AFAIK, AMD hasn't changed how CFX works in years. That configuration should work unless you're running a game that doesn't play nice with CFX. Vega 56, GTX 1070, and GTX 1070 Ti are about as fast as dual RX 470's when CFX is scaling properly, so if you can get either of those three and either sell the old RX 470 or use it in another system, that would be the better way to go.
