Litecoin difficulty has gone past 2200 now with the increased number of gpus tackling the problem, this at a time when China refuses to allow a decentralized currency to trade in their artificially deflated currency (CONTROL FREAKS) TANKS bitcoin.  As bitcoin rises and falls, so does litecoin, and so returns are significantly lower, pincered at both ends with increased difficulty, and lower litecoin prices.

What will you all do?  keep mining at near break even prices in the hopes that litecoin will take off again?  Or stall your activity until things get more under control?

may the odds be ever in your favor

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

If the difficulty gets too high and the prices stay low then people will stop mining if they arent serious...thus lowering the difficulty back down for the serious miners and with that prices will go back up and then once again attract those that flaked out on LTC when it went low.

So keep mining if your serious and if your hardware can take the difficulty. Itll come back to haunt you if you don't. And Buy low, sell high.

Yea you won't make your money back on hardware with current rising of difficulty and currency rate. Plus Alpha technologies is making an ASIC that would mine much more efficiently. They might be even mining right now, which would explain the spiking of difficulty and hashrate. It might be better to just buy Litecoin and hold.
