Hello, building a really nice PC, meant for gaming with max settings on games and streaming (assuming that matters, motherboard wise) Putting in a AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x, and a ASUS ROG STRIX 1080TI. motherboard wise, which is my best choice, and is there a Huge difference I would notice for what I plan on doing?

GIGABYTE X399 AORUS Gaming 7

ASUS ROG X399 Zenith Extreme 

 

Not sure what all these effect, heating, performance, etc.

I would go with the Zenith Extreme, because from what I have seen it has excellent performance, and full of features. There should be no difference in terms of heat, but the Zenith has it's own heat pipe / heatsink for the VRMs. Its also excellent looking, with the right amount of RGB and stealth look. Plus the lights would sync up with your strix card VIA aura sync.

Biased opinion here. I can only speak for Asus motherboards as I have owned 7 of them in the past 3 years but they have been rock solid for me. Not the greatest customer service but the boards themselves have been great so I would recommend the ROG Zenith Extreme.

 

I bought 1 other motherboard and it was a budget B250i MSI motherboard which has been great but that is a very different platform than what you are looking at.

So ya threadripper will be more than fine for higher end streaming and recording.

For X399 boards overall likely between the Taichi and the Zenith, you'll want to look for reviews from more crazy overclocking guys like the guy below who really push the board to the limit.

Are you making a custom loop? Or just using one of the TR4 noctua air coolers? I would not use a standard AIO with threadripper, contact area is kinda small on most.
