ok, i tried installing ubuntu 12.10, 12.04, 10.10, 11.10 but just some things aren't installing right on my computer it would spit out errors saying that something didn't match anotherthing on the disk

my specs are

pentium4 lga 775

crucial m4 64gb

2gb kingston ram ddr2

can anyone help me?

Linux is not Windows... you can't really find 'common' solution to 'common' problems. You need to be really specific at every level and any problem you encounter, else you'll spend days trying to find solutions and do things that you don't know what it does, and end up making things worse.

-> What exactly are you doing (step by step)?

-> What is the FULL error message, word for word? (feel free to post a picture)

-> Where does it happen?
