Hi, I just built my first pc. All the parts are installed correctly. I have a B350 PC Mate motherboard and a 1050 Ti GPU. And my pc doesn't send any signal to monitors. I've tried both hdmi ports and the vga port. I'm not sure what else I can do. My pc posts fine, I just can't get any signal to a monitor. Any help is appreciated.

Probably a silly question, but are you absolutely sure you've plugged your monitor into the gpu, and not the monitor?

HEADS UP, THIS ACCOUNT IS INACTIVE NOW

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

Check the Powercables going into the GPU. It might not be getting enough juice. Also worth checking is that the monitor is set to the right input! without anymore to go on that's all I could think of.

Are you plugging your monitor into your GPU or your motherboard?

If the GPU can you send a pic of the setup and a list of all parts?

The VGA connectors won't work because the GTX 1050 card has no analogue output. Stick to HDMI.

Don't connect the monitor to the ports on the motherboard, because the processor has no integrated graphics so those connectors on the motherboard panel won't work. You must connect the HDMI cable from your monitor to the GTX 1050 card.

The GTX 1050 card may need a power cable from your power supply, one which has 6 or 8 pins. It may even say on the connector from the power supply "pci-e" or "vga".

The motherboard also needs two cables from the power supply, one wide (24 pin connector) and one near the cpu (a 4 pin or 8 pin connector)

Hopefully, you installed the motherboard correctly, using the spacers that came with the case, so you're not damaging the motherboard by letting it touch the metal of the case with the back.

what 1050ti has a vga connection?

make sure you actually plugged the monitor into your graphics card, not your motherboard.

also make sure the input in set correctly on the monitor

I'm pretty sure my friend installed it incorrectly. It's a little loose, so I'm having another friend come over tomorrow to look at it

Thank you so much. I'm having a friend who does this stuff all the time come over tomorrow to check it out. I'll be sure to show him this.

If you don't mind waiting for you're friend then you're all set I suppose. But If you want help tonight a picture from inside the case and one from the back, all cables left the way they are, would probably go a long way!

I can get a keyboard and mouse to light up when plugged into a cellphone wall adapter it doesn't mean the wall adapter is posting. it just means electricity exists.

If you have other pci-e slots, you could try those. Also make sure there is no dust in the slots themselves.
