They’re very pretty but definitely not worth it for just 1080p60fps, Minecraft and movies

Assuming this post isn't a troll. A MacBook Air would suit your needs for media consumption and Minecraft on lower settings. If you are going to college its also going to be decent for note taking.

What are you doing in college?

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Unless the college provides workstations, you are gonna want something a little more powerful for graphic design. Also, there is no point at all in getting a Mac for what you are doing. You don't seem to need the software and you would be far better off in terms of cost and performance if you found a nice sleek Windows machine. If you don't like Windows and want the Mac for the desktop environment, I would install Elementary OS which is a Mac-like Linux distro.

What exactly about this requires a mac?

Any of the mid-tier 2011-2013 MacBook Pro's would do, as long as you have 8gb of ram and at least dual core you'll be fine

Smallsnor: Huawei Matebook X

Canon AE-1 w/ 50mm f/1.8 lens

Pentax KM w/ 55mm f/1.8 SMC lens

Zenit-E w/ 58mm f/2 Helios lens

Panasonic G7 with 14-42mm f/3.5 lens

add 300$ and get a mbp 13inch that one have good performance for its price i have a very similar question that i don't think its worth a new topic

i have a good pc right now and am learning 3d design and programming should i just upgrade it or buy a mbp ?

what i do is :

watching youtube

minecraaaaaft

some video editing (not professional)

presentations

surf web alot

3d design with a app called fusion 360 but i maybe will learn more apps

Exactly. I think that it would be worse to use a mac for that, due to their low power.

for what he needs it won't make a different even if one is i3 and one is i7 quad core he will watch movies and play minecraft

but if he want to run mods and use shaders then get a mbp maxed or xps maxed

if not get either a base xps or mbp 13"
