I can't decide between the Note 8 and Mate 10... the only thing that's keeping me from buying the note 8 is the size (actually haven't tried it out yet, just an assumption that it'll be too big for me)

In the poll I'll include more than these phones...

i have the note 8 and got a huge discount (over $600 off ) for owning the note 7. If you don't need the pen just get the s8+

I would have said s8+ but I'm ditching mine for an iPhone after 3 weeks of ownership. I've experienced lag, stuttering and general bullshittery my old s7 didn't have.

I'm temporarily moving to a 6s+ until I can get my hands on the iPhone X (or 8 plus if the reviews are awful).

Can't comment on the others as I haven't owned them but I can see the note 8's extra ram making a big difference compared to the s8+

The main issue I have with the Mate 10 is that their website page doesn't list what kind of storage it comes with. Due to their previous actions of putting whatever kind of storage they have at hand into even flagship devices, including eMMC, I won't purchase a product from them again unless it specifies UFS storage.

What do you do with your phone? What are some of the requirements you have from your device?
You gave us literally nothing to go on when it comes to helping you make a decision.

The Mate 10 has a better camera (anecdotally) and likely will have stronger battery life due to having a larger battery and may very well age better over time.

The Note8 has more features and a stylus and is subjectively prettier.

Mate runs Android Oreo while the Note is on Nougat still

It depends on the price. If the Mate is significantly cheaper, then definitely go for it. But if you can get the Note8 for a good deal, then that could be something to consider. I typically prefer Samsung over Huawei these days although it’s fair to say that both are excellent “phablets”.

Mate 10 for me, I got S8+ and Mate 9 on hand.

If I were to choose between Note 8 or Mate 10, I will chose Mate 10

I can say that the performance, battery life, Camera features and  quality of Mate 9 is better.

And Mate 10 got 1.6 aperture dual cameras, this is insane. But when it comes to other features like spen/stylus, Note 8 is the best. Though I'm disappointed with the battery cap of Note 8 since they're trying to avoid exploding issues.
