Compensator 3.0?

i believe they once mentioned the issue with "compensator" builds is that there's not really been a "ridiculous" level of hardware lately.

 

4-way SLI is a thing of the past, "extreme" CPUs have been very manageable, and pretty much every outlier in pc parts has a specific reason as to why you'd get it, for example the 4 quadro's and the special extra card for syncing "makes sense" if you want to power a 16K gaming experience, putting 7 GPU's in what is essentially a server build for gaming with a whole group on one machine "makes sense", etc. the demise of "compensator" then really is that all extreme possibilities have a purpose.
