Free Galaxy Note 8(s), you are not lucky enough though.....

Ezio Auditore

Samsung handed out 200 brand new retail packaged note 8(s) to passengers in a flight from Madrid to A Coruna. This was reportedly in response to note 7 explosions. (I hope you appreciate me not using the cliched puns).

These phones nearly cost 1000$ in spain.

A year ago, many people were told they could not fly with their Galaxy Note 7 because it  was prone to fire due to battery issues. Now, Samsung is reportedly handing out free Galaxy Note 8 units to fliers in a bid to tell the world that its latest Note phone is as safe as a chocolate bar on airplanes. Sounds implausible but then when you are Samsung you can pull it off something like this. The company indeed handed out 200 free Galaxy Note 8 -- packed and sealed in retail boxes -- to all passengers on a flight in Spain.

Does anyone see the people in the last two visible rows in this picture?   ...Their facial expressions aren't that of someone who randomly got a new phone...

I'm not surprised though, our Samsung also built an ice rink in the middle of a Texas town as well.

Its better to hand out 200 expensive phones to people who probably already had up to date phones, rather than donate what its worth to people who don't even have anything to eat.

Oh wait. Marketing. Of course.

Samsung totally saved my day. What would I do without them?

this makes no sense because im sure they're not the same people the note 7 exploded on

Right! It could be for publicity, but i agree. If they could have researched what users had the phones explode and ship one to their house in a present box from Samsung.
