well it's only €30 so... i was just wondering if it's backwards compatible.

it theory it should be

but it's a server , it's not made to be as easy peasy as a consumer board , so it could very well not work at all. keep that in mind

hello,

i saw 12gb of ddr3 ecc 1333mhz ram really cheap on the used market, but i wonder if it will work in my server.

i have a hp proliant ml350 g6. standard the memory controller uses either 800 or 1066 mhz. will the faster ram work?

in theory it's supposed to down clock to the correct speed.

but keep in mind compatibility isn't always black and white. the board could very easily just not like the ram regardless. I'd look for a KNOWN working set of ram.
