Idle temperatures hot?

my cpu (ryzen 5 1600x) is running hotter than id like it runs at anywhere from 49-53c when browsing chrome. My cooler is a coolermaster hyper 212 led. Is this safe or should i get a second fan to go with it.

Did you use Ryzen master to view the temps?

when you hit like 75-80C then its getting hot. 49-53C is still quiet cool

around 50c seems pretty cool to me. if the temps keep rising check on the thermal paste

For me 50 C is too hot for my preferences in idle that`s what my CPU has under medium to high load while gaming.

Try running stress test or benchmark. You have normal temps for semi-load. We don't know if there's issues with cooling unless you test it to limit.
