OK. Sorry for the vague title, didn't exactly know what to call it.

I've been looking at GPUs and found out Amazon.com's GPU's are much cheaper than they are on Amazon UK. I was wondering if there would be any extra fees for importing from the US to the UK for this graphics card: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Support-08G-P4-5173-KR/dp/B01KVZBNY0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508593113&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+gtx+1070

thanks,

Fish

Probably, since in the US you don't pay your VAT/sales tax during your purchase, but rather at the end of the (fiscal?) year.

American people have to pay taxes, just not right away; which we Europeans are not used to seeing. This makes stuff in the US not actually cheaper, when you calculate it out entirely.

Now on topic, I don't know how much the import fees would be, but I would imagine that with the shipping + all of these fees done, you wont have saved much if anything at all. But don't quote me on that.

Yes you'll have to pay the importation fee which is a % of the invoice price, I know here in Brazil it can be any where from 30% to 70% the final price, shouldn't be too different for UK, this happens to protect your local market from people sending money off the country.
