What should I upgrade too?

So I currently have a ryzen 1800x and a gtx 1080. Is it worth me upgrading to a 1080 ti and getting a second one later down the line or just getting a second 1080

I wouldn't upgrade at all unless you're pushing 4K games on ultra or super high refresh rates at 1440p

Well if you spend another money for the GPU i recommend just spend on RAM in case if you upgrade you still have high capacities

"Make it future proof for some years at least, don't buy "only slightly better" stuff that gets outdated 1 year, that's throwing money away" @pipoawas

 

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

I'm sorry, but this is a terrible idea.

1. RAM prices are sky-high right now and don't show any signs of dropping soon.

2. If he has a system with a 1800X and a 1080, he probably has 16GB of RAM, which is plenty.

You're just throwing away money if you're buying more RAM.

oh yeah, but really? i thought those DDR4-3200 Vengeance RGB sticks at 16GB Dual channel was $159

Still not worth upgrading RAM...16GB is more than enough. Even 8GB is sufficient.

yeah, so i guess wait some improvements will answer this. or you can save the money and try overprovisioning your space?

Unused RAM is wasted RAM.

 

Has money? sell the 1080 and get a 1080 Ti, since a 1080 Ti SLI will make more sense either ways.

 

Actually does not want to spend all that money? keep as is since a single 1080 is plenty to play any thing perfectly fine, just don't be exaggeratedly demanding.
