GPU fps drops

Hello dear people.

I'm currently using a ASUS GTX 1060 6gb GPU with a i5 4460. 

My CPU is about 1-2 years old but the GPU is bought this year, but I'm still experiencing lag in the most games and huge fps drops.

I have ran Benchmark but with low results. Anyone got any type of suggestion what I can do to fix this or is it no problem at all with my GPU. I have checked for any new driver but I have the latest one.

Check to see if its plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard

Have you ever DDU in safe mode and reinstalled the GPU drivers fresh new?

Download it, boot in safe mode use it wipe all drivers, go to nvidia get the latest and install it and don't update without need especially using geforce experience.
