I'm not 100 percent that this is the best place for this, but here goes.

I'm looking to removing the DVI port on a low profile gtx 1050 ti (either gigabyte or msi). Is it possible to do without soldering? I'm okay with the idea of cutting it, but I'm not sure if that will cause some sort of catostrophic failure.

Linus did a video on it . Basically they used a dremel and an angle grinder then separated the pins and hot glued it all to prevent any of them shorting out.

Jeeze, the part where he forceably pulls out the metal leads between the port and the card itself make me want to cry.
