RAM 99% and not in game

Andzon

At times my computer starts lagging horribly (mouse stutter etc.) and when I check in my task manager it says anything from 95% to 99% usage of memory. What the hell is causing this, I am not even playing a game?

I have 16gb ram boosted to about 2300 or whatever it is. Default overclock for the sticks. Corsair Vengeance.

gonna need more info here..

- what hardware are you running, other than the ram?

- what are we looking at software wise?

- when is the last time you rebooted?

Rebooted maybe 2 hours ago, it fixes the problem but it comes back.

Specs:

GTX 1080

MSI z170 motherboard

i7 7700k

Google Chrome and Discord are at the top with around 47 mb and 30 mb usage respectively.

No, something hidden is taking it all up. Do you have any VM's running? Go to the Details tab in task manager, sort it there. List the top few.
