Ryzen 1700 Temps

Just installed a ryzen 1700 with an h100i GTX. Temps I'm getting are around 45°C idle no OC, is this alright? Could be better?

Idle, load, gaming, stress tested?

I would say being on water yes, my 1800x is overclocked to 39.25 and I idle at 31c what are you getting under load?

Haven't tested yet, just put the system together- don't have windows installed as of now.

I'd say that's a bit hot, but as you didn't mention ambient temp don't have anything to go on really. Mine OC'ed to 3.85Ghz all cores, Ambient of between 16-20 with the wraith cooler on idle sits around 26-40 on idle, depending on what I actually have going on.. and around 65-75 on full load.

Well I run at 65c under full load in aida54 I have to ask but did you remember to pull the plastic off the plate before install that idle temp is way high for being on water have you checked corsair link to see that all is running well i.e. pump, fans what point are you monitoring with cpu, fluid temp? MB temps? You'll need to run these things to get a baseline before you'll be able to be assisted

Just got into corsair link, the cooler isn't showing up. And before that, on post it states that there was a cpu fan error.

Is the usb2 connector in all the way on both the block and the board? Make sure the pump control wire in in the cpu fan header and you may need to make a change in your bios if the cpu fan header is not set to monitor not sure think it is my asus board that needed to be changed if not it was my msi board

Download AIDA64 and do some stress testing to let us know what temps you get under load.

But 45°C at idle with no OC seems too high.

I get that temp at idle with 3,8GHz OC.

 

My stock temps were around 35°C at most when idle and that's with air cooling (signature).

Test what temps you get under load (stress testing), then report back to us :)

Same temps I'm getting with my 1700x After reseating the cooler about 3 times I was able to get down to 30-35 degrees idle and 70 degrees under load. That's at a 3.8 overclock though. I just ordered a Kraken x62 just to see if there is any difference over the DeepCool Captain 240 I was running. I was not very happy with my temps either, but upon searching, it seems 30-40 degrees idle is pretty standard for the 1700-1800. There are people getting less, but most are in the 30's

Everything has been reseated and plugged back in at least 3 times now. Still no difference. Bios was already set to monitor. Going to throw the stock cooler one to see here.

Update: so I threw the stock cooler in- no more CPU fan error and temps are down to 25°. Looks like I'm dropping 100$ on a dark rock 3 or something of the likes.

Sorry, meaning bios temps. Though after getting windows installed I was working with the same numbers.
