mITX Ryzen 7 Build - The Subwoofer

As the title says , this is a build log of a mITX , Ryzen based system .

Subwoofer is its name because ...well i think pictures tell a better story.

Specs

Ryzen 7 1700

16GB DDR4 3000Mhz

ASRock X370 Fatality gaming ITX

250GB Samsung 960EVO m.2

2TB WD Blue 5400RPM HDD

EVGA Supernova G3 650W

Star of the show is an accidental find on alliexpress , 55$ shipped.Jonsbo C2BK. All aluminium build , fits mATX / mITX boards , and depending on which you choose , either 2 or 3 drives , or more with m.2 slots.

Also fits full size ATX PSUs , but im using a modular one anyway for less cable clutter.

The blue thing is the carrier frame which sits next to the motherboard on the front of the case .

Size does matter...

More in detail pictures tomorrow .. along with the rest of the parts.

If i remember correctly it is around 12L total volume. Also can house a single radiator up to 140mm size on the bottom intake.

Honestly, ITX build make so much more sense for 80% of custom PC builders, most people won't ever go SLI and have no more than 2x HDD anyways so why go for a huge case! I love the case you found and it looks like a good layout.

maybe add that conical hole on the back like some subwoofers have.....would make it look cooler....hey could be an air intake

Well truth to be told , and i will talk about it more tomorrow with more pictures ... most internal edges are rough , the included filter for the bottom intake is meh ... and etc but for a 50$ case im pretty happy.

The black anodized finish is very nice , and resists scratches quite well , poked it with a screwdriver by accident , didnt leave a mark.

And by being this small , GPUs are 22cm max , and cooler height is 8cm max.

But thumbs up for yours , looks nice !

I mean still for $50 it is hard to complain. I was in the same boat this Thermaltake case, it was like $55CAD and overall really good build quality for the price, and yeah I can be picky about some minor things, but it's hard to argue with a cheap price tag.
