Coffe Lake i5

(im assuming he means a 6600)

The 6600 is still a pretty capable chip.A gpu upgrade to say a 1060/580 would be a good idea.I would save the rest of the money for a 6700

there's an i5 660 from the old clarksdale architecture, not the 6600 skylake i5.

DDR3L isn't an upgrade over DDR3

CPU: I5 4590 Motherboard: ASROCK H97 Pro4 Ram: XPG 16gb v2.0 4x4 kit  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 PSU: EVGA 550w Supernova G2 Storage: 128 gb Sandisk SSD + 525gb Mx300 SSD Cooling: Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP Case: Zalman T2 Sound: Logitech Z506 5.1 Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma Keyboard: DBPower LED

@12dzgaming I would save money and upgrade to a Skylake i5 or i7 and maybe get a better GPU, but make sure to get a motherboard that supports DDR3 memory in that case(RAM upgrades can be costly)

I'd upgrade to this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($109.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock - AB350M Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Aegis 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory  ($77.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $247.87
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-10-09 21:02 EDT-0400

after that, sell off your old gear and get a gtx 1060 3gb.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

I'm pretty sure a GPU upgrade would be handy as well

EDIT: sorry, didn't see that last bit.

If you're upgrading, there's really no reason to not sell your current PC and use that money to help fund your upgrades

get an X3440 and gtx 1060 6gb then. take note that the Xeon/i7 are pretty old and will perform worse than the ryzen 1200.
