Steam How-To ?

Thejbcrazy
Go to solution Solved by Mira Yurizaki,

If there's a Steam game that warns you your system isn't powerful enough, it's the game itself, not Steam. Steam doesn't really care what you run.

Anyone know how to trick Steam in thinking my laptop is more powerful, so I can download games for my PC at home ???

want to download at my friends, who have a way faster internet connection.

As far as I know, Steam shouldn't restrict what you can and cannot download dependent on PC power, or does it now?

The only limitation I've noticed is it will refuse to download/install if you don't have enough diskspace

Ok, I’ll look into that. It’s my friends Laptop, and I was asking for him. He said that steam notified  him that the performance wasn’t good enough for download . Could have met there wasn’t enough space on HDD

I doubt it, they wouldn't give an inaccurate error like that.

Could be that network wasn't stable enough for download.
