It should. Very few systems these days use specialized power supplies

a lot of prebuilt uses OEM/proprietary psu and connectors

so i was givin a free computer (a dell precision t3610) and i was looking to upgrade whats in it, so i was gonna put in a new power supply but im not sure if any old power supply will work with the dell motherboard.

i dont think it will, the manual looks to be an OEM one http://www.dell.com/support/manuals/ca/en/cabsdt1/precision-t3610-workstation/dellprecisiont3610_om-v2/power-supply-unit-(psu)-lock?guid=guid-1ce0e46a-ca6c-43ce-8e79-9ae9179aabab&lang=en-us

can i ask why u wouldnt recommend it?

it's a prebuilt psu

probably it's quite crappy with the build quality but I think this unit is a delta-made one, which is a pass for me

It's a Precision, not an Inspiron. If it's any less than very good, I'd be disappointed.
