Help Me please !!

Hi all,

 

i have just build the system that i posted on her asking for recommendation Link Here.

 

I am having an issue where the mb just wont post no matter what i have tried, it powers on for about 15 seconds then just turns off. I get no display at all and.  

I have replaced the mb, ram, psu the only thing that i haven't replaced is the CPU as i don't have another one of them kicking around. i am now stuck and needing abit of help, i think it could be the cpu but i am unsure. Can anyone give me some help.

did you put the RAM in the right order? The mobo's manual should mention that.

Is this inside the case or outside?  If you haven't already assemble the system outside the case and see if you can get it to post.  If you can, you're likely shorting something when you installed it into the case.Possibly a pin on the back of the board making contact with the MB tray or if you're running cables behind the board pinching a cable.

I only have one stick of ram and have also consulted the manual incase I had made that rookie mistake

I have built it external to the case purely for that reason cause I've had that on a build I did afew years ago. But the system won't post at all just turns on for about 10-15 seconds then turns off again.

There is no on board speaker but i have tried using a volt meter to measure anything coming from them pins which there isn't. I have also cleared it afew times on both the motherboards i have tried.

Also try clearing the BIOS.

I have ordered this board to continue testing, i have used the board before and i know it fairly over powered.

Have you tried different memory? some boards can be a bit iffy with 2Rx4 modules, it might want 2Rx8 modules (16 chip memory modules)

Cause the cpu was more expensive and more difficult to get replaced quickly. also both the motherboards that i have received both appeared to have been previously opened.

Checked the compatibility before i bout it and also heard from someone that used that board with the memory that i had selected for the build

Turns out that both the boards i revived had the same fault so the new motherboard solved the problem. :D
