Which smartwatch do you recommend?

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S8, and I want to get a good smartwatch to go with it. I have looked at the gear s3, but it seems like it doesn't have many apps, the fitness tracking is bad, and I despise those bubbly-looking icons on Samsung devices. I've looked at a few others, but they all seem to have a few glaring issues. I'm looking for a decent watch that looks nice and performs nicely. Any suggestions?

I personally feel smartwatches are not a good investment. You would be better off saving your money on useless tech.

If you want to track your fitness, get a Fitbit or just use the app on your phone. Don't bother buying a smartwatch. I had an iPhone SE with a iWatch and had no use for anything. It was nice reading texts from the watch but other than that it became useless and a big battery drainer because Bluetooth would have to be enabled 24/7.

At first a smartwatch seems kind of pointless -- neat but pointless. But once you get used to it being there it really sucks when it's not.

Bluetooth on 24/7 barely drains the battery. I've noticed no difference in the battery life of my 6s+ when I'm using my watch (and bluetooth is on) and when I'm not (and bluetooth is off).

Especially since BT has been lowering required power with nearly every iteration.

I've heard good things about Timex's watch, although it looks just like a watch. Plus its a Timex, so if they built it the same as their other watches, its indestructible.
