1600 vs 1600X $7USD Difference

Is the 1600X worth it over the 1600 if there is a $7USD/$10AUD price difference?

For that money I'd say yes just for the higher binning and higher clocks

The price difference is minimal, you can easily overclock the 1600 to get 1600X performance.

I am going to go AIO but that is going to happen i a couple months and i dont want to buy a cheap cpu cooler ($40AUD) and then not use it.

For the $7 difference and you aren't using the Wraith Spire, I would have just gotten the 1600X.

 

If I had that price difference between a 1700 and 1700X when I built my Ryzen rig, I would have gotten the 1700X, lol

Knowing what I know with 2 AMD builds now a 1600x and an 1800x I can tell you that overclocking for me was a breeze compared to others so I have to believe that the x provided a little more headroom to achieve that but then again what do I know
