Hi guys, a friend is selling me his second hand pc for 590$ and it looks like new.

EVGA ACX SC 760 2GB

i5-3450 4core 3.1ghz

6GB RAM 1600mhz

1TB HDD

Is this a good deal?

for $600 you could nearly* get Ryzen 5 and an RX 560, could look for a bit cheaper board and get a 1TB HDD to get the price down, or just not use a case for a while.

Not a good deal, especially second hand.

Here is one which features a modern Core i7 4790, GTX 970  and 16GB of RAM for same price

It is from BhPhotoVideo which is much more reputable and trustworthy

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/801414406-USE/asus_republic_of_gamers_g10aj_us010s.html

"I'm so glad you're my partner in crime."

"It's the power of best friendship, I know how you roll."

"Chloe, my powers might not last."

"Ready for the mosh pit, shaka brah?"

"Yes, we'd be tearing up the highway. And you'd probably want me to kiss you again..."

"I always wanted my life to be special... an adventure... but not without you."

"Because we're back in action again!"

"With great power comes great bullshit."

"Max you are not crazy. You are not dreaming. It’s time to be an everyday hero."

"I wish I could stay in this moment forever. I guess I actually can now, but then it wouldn’t be a moment."

"If that tornado came right now, I would just sit here and watch for a while."

"You're right. We hella deserve this. Splish splash."

"Can we build another pirate fort and keep the world out?"

"When a door closes, a window opens... Or, something like that."

"Listen, whatever happens, I want you to be strong. Even if you feel like I wasn't there for you because I will never abandon you Chloe. I'll always have your back. Always."

Isn't the 560 almost equal to the 760?

Where are you buying from? Those parts looks odd. If you were to buy from the US, the above suggestions we showed are much better than what you've listed.

The 560 is roughly equal to the 7970, which is roughly equal to the 780, depending on each card's OC

I'd say RX 560 over 1050, mostly for the overclocking potential, DX12/Vulkan stuff And Cheap free-sync displays. My RX 560 couldn't change voltage but it was hitting 1440mhz, not sure on the memory OC.

Either way I don't think you friend knows what those components are worth.

Also if you're just gaming at 60hz you could drop to the Ryzen 3 1200 which will be fine and then maybe upgrade when Ryzen Revision 2 is out and hitting higher clocks. want a decent motherboard in that case.

You can get old dells with i5s or even i7s for under $200 + $100 or so for a modern GPU, but if you have $600 to spend just get a Ryzen system, as the dells have limited PSUs, and are of course old.

price for his is probably $300, $250 more likely as who even wants a system that old unless it's pretty cheap.
