Yes, it's perfectly fine. Make sure it has the AM4 bracket though.

The Cryorig H7 is a better cooler and doesn't look like crap.  The Cryorig C7 is also an option if you don't want anything big.  It's definitely not as good, but as you said you're not overclocking.  It doesn't get very hot at stock speeds.

awesome i'll get  the nh u14s

That's kind of a waste of money.  Coolers like that are for overclocking.  It's why I recommended smaller cheaper ones.

I'm really not getting on with the kraken water cooler

What do you mean by 'not getting on with'? Do you not like the look of it or something?

Is the nh u12s worth looking at

Still a waste of money.  These after market coolers are for moderate to heavy overclocking.  You seem set to spend way more money than necessary.  It's possible that they won't even fit in your case.

I would get a Noctua if I was to go air cooling, but if you're looking for something around that price tag, I would go with a Cryorig H7 before I got a Hyper 212

The max height of that is 170mm.  All four coolers will fit, although the NH-U14S will probably be touching the case window.  Because you have such a big window you'll probably want something that looks good.  If you don't mind the extra cost and the diarrhea colors, Noctua coolers are good.  It's still way more than you need though.  I recommend the C7.  It's small, performs better than stock coolers (and a stock cooler would work fine), and looks good.  Cryorig ones are also designed to work with high profile RAM.
