How to set a primary display device for boot-up?

My EVGA FTW3  does the same. I had to plug the cables to different video outputs (I used DP on the very right side and then HDMI next to it so I had to use DP on the left side).

Hi all!

I've googled this, but all the search results inevitably lead to the "set PCI-e as default adapter in BIOS" thing, which is driving me insane!

I have 2 screens connected to my Palit GTX 1070 Game Rock

Picture here

One is connected via HDMI, the other one is connected via DP (the one on the far rigth).

My problem is this: When the computer boots up it uses the HDMI screen to POST and bring up the boot loader.

I'd like to get POST and boot loader on the DP screen if possible.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170-HD3P (ver. 1.0)

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks!

I feel so stupid right now... didn't even try it.

Thank you for that! It worked. Although I am now getting the 4-5 "garbled" spinning windows loading thingies... which really doesn't bother me, tbh.
