Upgrade From HE400i

I dont really have a budget yet, just looking around on the market.

 

What do u guys think would be a noticable upgrade from my 400is?

 

I both listen to music (a fckin lot) and game every day. The most important parts are the midrange and the low, I love electronic music, and love all the vocals.

 

What im currently looking at is the Hifiman Edition X V2.

Yeah the HEXv2 are pretty good. Personally I'd go for either the Either Flow or the Aeon, both from MrSpeakers. You can also consider the Focal utopia (or was it the other, cheaper one?) 

Just make sure to try them first.

The utopia is way too expensive, maybe the elear, but thats really expensive too.

 

I forgot to mention, that I have a Fostex HP-A3 az an amp/DAC combo.

maybe see if you can't find a set of HE 6's, they are said to be HD 800 quality, but ofc with a different sound signature and not as huge soundstage and you basically need a speaker amp for them :D 

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...
