Soundproblem in Teamspeak

Go to solution Solved by dj_ripcord,

If it sounds fine in audacity, then it is localized to TS3. Crank your input volume and set your threshold correctly. Also disable echo cancellation as you wont need it with a headset.

I recently bought the Beyerdynamics Custom Game which has a good mic according to the internet but my friends complain in teamspeak that the sound is a bit dull. They say my last headset had a better sound (Logitech G633) so there must something I missed i guess? Any driver or something i have to install? Im a completly noob ^^' Any suggestion is appreciated

Check your windows recording device settings. Make sure that in the "properties" section of your headset's microphone device that you have the volume set to full. Also try downloading Audacity and recording a bit of audio with your mic on. And see how you really sound. That could help you get down to the nitty gritty.

No im not using any amp, is it worth it to buy one? Since the max volume i can get out of the headphones is enough but could be a tiny bit more and I saw some people say an amp would fix that and if it makes my mic quality better i would consider it. Any recommendation which arent as expensive?

Amp will only increase your max volume. Not your mic quality

I checked in windows and it is set to 100. Also downloaded Audacity and the sound is alot clearer. So im guessing it is a teamspeak option i turned off/on? Cant find any which could cause that
