It means that it is tested to overclock to 5GHz with reasonable voltage.

"Binning" is process of choosing the most performing silicon, in this case CPU.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

Prebinned basically means that they have taken the CPU and tested it roughly it most cases to have it capable of running overclocked at a certain speed in this case 5.0Ghz at theses settings.

Quote

Settings for 5.0GHz:
- Vcore 1.32-1.39v load typically 1.35v needed at most.
- VCCSA 1.05 for 3200mhz mems Upto 1.25 for DDR4000mhz +
- VCCIO 1.0 for 3200mhz mems. upto 1.25 For DDR4000mhz +

binning is like sorting into groups by how well it performs or other characteristics.  Think testing and then putting it into a certain bin

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Hi thanks so it doesnt mean it is 5ghz out of the box it is just the same CPU as the stock one but it has been tested to OC to 5ghz, im not really into overclocking because it is something i have never done so for a CPU that wont bottle neck two 1080s would the stock version of this CPU be ok.

No i7 should ever bottleneck any current GPU on the market. Just be prepared to deal with high temps with the 7700K, unless you get lucky.

Thanks, i am going to attempt my first hard tubing water cooling on the CPU and both GPUS, i have water cooled before but using soft tubing. This is going to be the most expensive pc i have built.

Tell me about it. My current build as it sits in my signature cost me over $5000 for just the PC not including the monitors and peripherals. I'd be interested to hear how your hard tubing goes if it's your first time working with it. Feel free to PM me.
