Option 3: Something with a power supply that won't go boom.

Also, H270 boards will do nothing for a K processor. If you're going with a locked board, buy a locked CPU.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Are you only gaming? Get the 7700k.
Are you streaming, 3D rendering or something else that likes more cores? Consider the Ryzen.

Also, get a power supply from a more reputable manufacturer such as EVGA or Corsair, it's not much more money and a lot safer.

I highly recommend the Corsair CXM, RX and RXi series, or the Seasonic S12II/M12II.

The only real problem I see with either build is the H270 board in the Intel option. If you want to overclock, you need a Z270 board. If you don't want to overclock, don't spend the extra money on a 7700K when a 7700 will do just as well.

Beyond that, it's all about your use case. For sheer gaming horsepower, nothing beats a 7700K. If you're looking at productivity tasks like video rendering, Photoshop or database manipulation, Ryzen will win. For 90% of people, the cheaper of the two options is the better, as they'll never tax the system enough to know the difference in routine use.
