My pc reboots when I try play games. I got it checked up and he said that the voltage of my psu(seasonic Gseries 450w 80+gold [i biught it used]) is low thats why it reboots when i game. When I go the BIOS, i can see the 3,5 and 12v voltages and 3 and 5 are fine but 12v only says 10.5v voltage...

So my question is, do I get it repaired or buy a s12ii 520 instead? Which is gonna be cheaper?

Your best way is to check it with a multimeter software measurements are never very accurate but if it is low you would be better to just replace the unit.

NO, NO, NO, NO! The Seasonic 450G is an alright PSU, on the other hand, the S12II 520W is not.

Your PSU is fine, software readouts just don't work.

What is the specs of your computer? Have you overclocked the CPU or GPU?

We swapped the Psu with another working one and the games ran flawlessly without any reboots. Also, Im using my generic psu for the mean time and I notice that 12v says 12v above...

So i dont think its an error in software read out...

Typically, BIOS/software readings ARE a bit off.  I'd say +/- 5%.  But 10.5V is SO LOW that I'm quite sure your actual +12V voltage is nowhere near where it's supposed to be.

Holy $h!+ its the main man jonnyguru himself!

Anyways... is there any way of fixing this PSU or should I just buy a new $50 seasonic psu?

There are no "Pros" that do that stuff because a new PSU is only worth about 100€ or something like that.

Even taking a look at it costs something like 50 bucks.

And for that you can get something half way decent. So it makes just no sense to repair them...
