Looks decent, 3 things id change are the motherboard, pay a little more for an b350 chipset to overclock the cpu, change the ram to something from corsair, G.skill, any reputable brand, and the psu, change it tomso, ething from evga, which are a very reputable brand.

Good Luck!

You're suggesting he should use more than half his budget on an SSD?

Here's what i would reccomend:https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/r2d8Gf

You can get a cheaper motherboard, but you will sacrifice ram slots and other features. A BeQuiet! Power supply, 500w is great and will allow for upgrades, the b350 mobo will allow you to overclock the cpu, and from experiance inknow that at 3.6ghz this thing will stay at 60degrees under load for sure.

Good Luck!

I never built a PC.

Most PCs are pretty similar to make. Any (except TR4) AMD socket will install the same, you can find videos on it (AM4/AM3+/FM2+ etc), and most cases are pretty straight forward to build in. The Wraith Spire cooler is just 4 screws, and you can find videos on how to install it.

Linus' most recent ultimate build guide is this one. Use it as a general reference, and not an exact guide.
