Hey guys, when I wanted to play TF2 today, I looked through my steam games and I realised that I never finish my games other than a few like gunpoint and portal 2. And I don't feel like playing through them... anyone have this problem too? I know I wasted money but I just don't feel like playing them...

I cant even tell you how many games I have on steam that I haven't finished. I don't consider it a loss though, because i usually do play the game for a good while and have a great time with it, such as Crysis 3 I played for 2 hours, but I never finish them. BF4 was my last day one purchase, everything else I'm going to wait for sales unless it's primarily a multiplayer game

Oh I have a bunch of games I never got round to finishing, it's a widespread and totally normal thing that gamers do. Seriouly, like ALL of my buddies have the same problem. Too much stuff to play, you get distracted/bored/abducted by aliens and then 6 months later you never got past the halfway point in LA Noire even though you loved the game

because games these days are lame and the same sh*t over and over again AKA shooters....

Very very true... thats why I try to play indie games where there is at least some originality.

but me is in a big problem

i bought bf4 forgetting i have a 7770 which plays @ 20fps minimum settings

You have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and 780i SLI(I know its aging but it was high end not too long ago) and you got a 7770? Seems weird unless you got it recently or something...

It's massively dull in singleplayer I have to say. Gave it another spin a couple weeks ago and just stopped an hour or two in.

To help me finish games, I started a text document to chart my progress thru games. Currently I am 43 games/storydlc complete for the year. Here is a striped version of the document with just my games completed section, had to also remove links to all my saved complete games.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qhgMxbImMd2gJjbjwZIizXVN10F_HkfEd7_b6IgUvyA/edit?usp=sharing

For achievement screen captures I use this.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/screen-capture-by-google/cpngackimfmofbokmjmljamhdncknpmg

To backup my saves to store online I use this program.
http://www.gamesave-manager.com/

Keeping a list like this is a good mental motivator for me. Make it so I have a set point to reference instead of the vagueness of trying to remember. Also I keep a list of what games I buy with info like how much and from where, that I cross off the titles as I finish them. Hoping to get to 45 by the end of the year, not bad for not really starting this till February.

Like I said in my post, it is a motivator for me. I like to complete two to four games a month. Having a log helps me. Makes the games I complete more solid to me, even months after I finish them. More or less the reason most people keep a journal. It is a way to have central point for your memory recall to spring from.
