Its been almost a year since I started collecting the parts, but not sure if I can be bothered logging the whole thing.

That's a long time to gather, I wouldn't have done it like that myself because of how pricing changes and how often new parts come out. I would have saved and bought it all in one go.

Yea, it was meant to be all done in 3 months but my originally 'low cost' computer, just kept growing...  and growing.  So yea, one year ago, the 5800K was the best APU available, but I have just ordered tonight my FM2+ motherboard so I can upgrade to Kaveri in the near future.  So ,while I could have saved a bit by buying it all in at once, I only bought these parts when they were on sale, and at the end of it, it should still be a capable enough system for what I need.

 

You will all see in my upcoming build log :)

 

now I just need to think of a name...
